Frequently Asked Questions
1. When did you establish your practice and what were some reasons/considerations why you chose this particular location/site/region to establish it?
1st Chiropractic Centres was established in 2001 after Robert Gruhn, D.C graduated from Life University, College of Chiropractic, in Atlanta, Georgia. His wife Pam , is from the UK, hence upon graduating returned to the UK to set up practice.
2. As you designed your practice, describe the philosophy, unique factors, values, outcomes or types of patient relationships you were/are hoping to create:
We at 1st Chiropractic Centres, believe that although most people will come to see a chiropractor because they are in pain, we will listen to the symptoms but look to the cause of them. Without the cause being found and corrected, the pain will continue to develop. We see patients of all ages and believe that most people, regardless of age, can benefit from chiropractic care.
3. If you have a statement of purpose, mission statement or clinical vision suitable for patient consumption, please share it:
We really believe in not just treating people’s symptoms but looking to the cause of their complaints. Once the problem, subluxation, is corrected, then it is much easier to maintain health than wait for symptoms to rear their ugly heads again, hence we encourage our patients to embrace chiropractic wellness or chiropractic check ups.
4.Describe your ideal patient, or the type of patients who seem to get the best results in your practice and why:
We find that patients that become involved in their care plan, attend their appointments and ask questions are the ones that respond better to care.
5. What is your most frequently-asked question asked by new patients and the answer/explanation you try to provide?
Quite often after starting chiropractic care at our practice, patients ask ‘Why have I waited so long before coming in to have chiropractic care? I wish I’d started ages ago!’ The majority of new patients come because 1st Chiropractic Centres have been recommended by a current patient.
